Riga Technical University (RTU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious technical universities in the Baltic region. Founded in 1862, it is Latvia’s leading institution for engineering, technology, and innovation, with a strong international reputation and a growing global student community.

Application Process:
RTU accepts international students through direct online applications. The typical steps include:

Submitting an online application via the RTU portal

Paying the application fee
Programmes begin in the autumn semester. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all study places are filled.

Scholarships may be available for outstanding students or through government agreements. RTU also participates in Erasmus+ and other mobility programmes that support international study.
